Most Refined Pinterest Boards
Before Refinery Hotel opened its doors in 2014, we drew some major inspiration from Pinterest. From the ambiance to the intricate details of guest rooms, we envisioned the buzzing chatter of guests throughout the hallways and the timeless elegance of the property. Today, Pinterest continues to serve as a source of all the pretty things we love. Here are some of our favorite (and most refined) Pinterest boards.
Peter Som – Fashion Designer
New additions to the wardrobe always sound like a good idea. Peter Som’s “She’s Gotta Have It!” board pins super glam dresses for an evening gala as well as classic essentials. Who better to get wardrobe advice from than a fashion designer?
Virtual Tourist – Travel inspiration
Pinterest is secretly the best place for travel inspiration. One of our favorite boards to cure wanderlust is “Here, there and everywhere,” from the Virtual Tourist. Fellow travelers from around the world pin all things travel related (nearly 7,000 so far) in this communal Pinterest account.
Emily Schuman – Lifestyle blogger
Design is kind of our thing (ICYMI, Refinery just won the Independent Lodging Conference’s award for Best Innovative Hotel Design award). In the name of design, we absolutely love lifestyle blogger Emily Schuman’s “Home Details” board for its many swoon-worthy design details like this lamp of our dreams. So much design, so little time.
Simone Oliver – Editor at the NYT
Fashion icon Iris Apfel once said, “More is more and less is a bore.” Based on Apfel’s wise logic, we want everything on the Simone Oliver’s “Drool-Worthy Accessories” board. Lifestyle editor for The New York Times, Oliver knows how to keep our accessory A-game on point.
Kristen Vinakmens – Fashion Editor
Kristen Vinakmens’s In Living Colour board makes us *almost* want to ditch New York’s mandatory black wardrobe and implement more color in our lives! And how about those Comme des Garcons nails? Very fashion forward.
Damn Delicious – Food blogger
Thanks to food blog Damn Delicious’s “Game Day” Pinterest board, green chile tochos, guacamole shrimp wonton cups and Mexican-style hot dogs with bacon are the new Sunday Night football menu items.
Vané Broussard – Design
Weddings at Refinery Hotel make our hearts flutter with excitement—even if we’re not invited. You can find everything you need to plan the perfect rooftop nuptials on Brooklyn-based blogger, Vané Broussard’s Pinterest. Our favorite board? “Dresses and Veils,” of course. Duh.
