These Summer Cocktails Are All We Want to Drink

As summer continues to bless us with warm, sunny days, we’re making the most rooftop season with a few of our favorite cocktails in hand — best enjoyed with a view of the Empire State Building, of course. Here are a few recent additions to the Refinery Rooftop’s menu that have us wishing every day was a Summer Friday.

Exotic Whiskey Smash

Long week got you down? We have the remedy. The Exotic Whiskey Smash is just the cocktail to put a spring back in your step as you greet the weekend. Japanese whiskey and prosecco, topped with a lemon twist and a sprig of mint comprise this favorite.

She Smokes When She Drinks

Elegant and palate-exciting, the combination of smoky Montelobos mezcal, lime, seltzer, and grapefruit is a veritable explosion of intense smokiness wrapped around a fizzy tartness that keeps you sipping!

Baby Doll

Nobody is putting this Baby in a corner! Served in a chilled rose gold coupe, the Baby Doll is a delightful mix of Absolut Elyx vodka, fresh watermelon, tart lemon juice, and delectable pineapple. The Baby Doll will have you dreaming of summer all the way through December. But sip slowly—this pink dream packs a deceptively powerful punch. A literal glass-of-liquid-summer, the Baby Doll quickly found itself at the top of our must-have seasonal sips.

Mango-Basil Margarita

The Mango-Basil Margarita is definitely not your run-of-the-mill margarita. Refreshing and spicy, it’s mix of Altos tequila, ripe mango, fresh basil, lime, agave, and spicy seasoning salt that has found the right balance between “burn your tongue off”-spicy and “I want to bathe in this”-yummy. The perfect libation to kick off your weekend, we swear you’ll never want a house margarita ever again.

Yuzu Margarita

If you’re in the mood to try something different, we suggest going for the Yuzu Margarita! Chilled Patron and agave are elevated to the next level by a slice of lemon and dash of yuzu— a sour Japanese citrus extract. If you’re already in the mood to try something unexpected, we suggest pairing this citrus delight with a plate of grilled octopus sliders. But we can’t guarantee your friends won’t want to share, so maybe order two!
