The 88th Academy Awards are almost here! And while the February 28th ceremony starts at 8pm EST, the party begins hours earlier, when millions of viewers get a first look at the celebrities in their enviable red-carpet looks.

We’re expecting to see the season’s biggest trends, such as capes, gowns with pockets, plunging necklines, rising slits, cut-outs and sequins. Thanks to JLaw’s flawless red dress at the Golden Globes, we are betting we’ll see more shades of red.
