What’s going on in NYC this Month
Sure, it’s getting cold outside, but that’s never stopped us from enjoying our city. Here’s what’s happening around town the next few weeks!
December
The Winter Village is back at Bryant Park! While the holiday kiosks have shuttered, there is still plenty to enjoy. Grab your ice skates and head to The Rink, opened daily from noon to 10 pm. Bring the kiddies to meet Santa from 1pm to 3pm everyday at Le Carrousel! Santa will be on duty until Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve Caroling in Washington Square Park
Head to the arch in Washington Square Park on Christmas Eve for an evening of caroling, featuring carolers and a The Rob Susman Brass Quartet. The event is free and everyone is free to join in on the signing. Songbooks will be distributed so everyone can sing along to their favorite holiday tunes. The singing begins at 5 pm.
New Year’s Eve in Times Square
It’s one of the most iconic New Year celebrations in the world! Join millions as they ring in the new year with the descending of the crystal ball. Television personality Allison Hagendorf will host the event, with performances by Gavin DeGraw, Rachel Platten, Silento and Jojo Abot.
Kick off the new year on the run! The New York Road Runners are celebrating the new year with a Midnight Run in Central Park. The event begins at 10pm with music and dancing. There will be a countdown at 11:59 pm, and at the stroke of midnight the four-mile run officially kicks off with a dazzling display of fireworks. Register here for the run!
