It’s National Hat Day!

January 15th is National Hat Day and we’re excited.

That’s because Refinery Hotel, situated in the heart of NYC’s Garment District, occupies a former hat factory. The century-old Colony Arcade building was home to high-end milliners and furriers who producing some of the country’s most prized hats and furs. More than 100 years have passed, but we still honor our roots. Each guestroom featuring murals inspired by the Garment District and we recently got In Bed With Hat Doyenne Linda Pagan. She’s been a longtime partner with Refinery, sharing her tips on how to pick a hat for the Kentucky Derby and giving us all the details on her utterly charming SoHo boutique, The Hat Shop.
