Visiting NYC’s Flower District
Everyone knows Midtown. Most people know about the Garment District, which got its name from the dozens of clothing factories located there in the early 1900s, and continues to be a hub for fashionistas. But fewer people, including New Yorkers themselves, know about the Flower District, a block-long flower market on 28th Street between 6th and 7th avenues. But visiting NYC’s Flower District is a great way to see a different side of New York, and it’s the best smelling square block in the city.
Here’s our photo tour of the NYC Flower District, one of our favorite spots to escape from the Urban Jungle and enjoy a bit of the tropics.
In the midst of the flower shops, we love A Little Taste. Connected to Analisse Taft-Gersten’s home design showroom ALT for Living, it’s a delightful café with artisan roasted coffee and knockout pastries.
